Well, you can't go to the skate park anymore without either wearing a helmet (let's face it you probably aren't going to do that) or keeping extremely good watch out for cops. I got my first helmet ticket last Saturday and it seems I only hear of more and more police presence at the park these days. You can move to another city or you can just say fuck it and make some fucking spots!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to just come out and say it, street skaters here in Halifax, we're all lazy! That's me included for the most part. It would be nice if spots fixed themselves and fell out of the sky perfect but they don't. So the other day we went and actually did something. Grabbed a piece of coping, some plastic blue stuff and some screws and made a spot.

We packed the coping into Dratwa's car, risking mine and Plumbers lives had their been any sort of collision.

Flats

I did a little piece on the beloved skate spot Halifax has dubbed "The Flats" about 3 or 4 months ago. I pitched it along with another piece to Scotty MacDonald over at King Shit. I didn't post it up because I was waiting to hear back from Scotty. Some time went by, then more, then Scotty called me and left me a 3 minute message about the whole thing. I enjoyed it and thought you might enjoy it as well, so if you click here you can listen to the message in it's entirety. Scotford is a great dude, but a full email inbox can take it's toll on anyone. I should also mention that towards the end he mentions he's going to put the "Morgan Smith" thing on the web....he means the Morgan Campbell interview I did with him about his Staple mag. Hopefully we'll be seeing that Morgan Campbell interview up on the King Shit site now that the new issue is done eh Scotty? Anyways, here's my Flats article.

Every city has one. The meet up spot, it’s a stock element to any skate scene. You go meet up with the homies, drink your first coffee (or beer) of the day all with the ambition of eventually going street skating only to succumb to the social soiree that defines a meet up spot. Here’s a little ditty about a paved slab that we here in Halifax refer to as the Flats.

To my best knowledge, the Flats were born in the early 90’s, a bastard child to the Moosehead Grand Prix. The city paved a strip through the Commons Park grounds and like any illegitimate child of city planning, it was adopted by skateboarders. To quote OG Halifax local ripper/photographer Greg Baller “Beer, fast cars, city politics, and quick-thinking created that spot.”

After the adoption came the character building. With the last of the funds from the ASA (Atlantic skateboard association I can only assume) fund Baller bought some concrete slabs and lifted them in using his scrotum as a sling, they called him “Long bag Baller” for years after. Somewhere around the same time there was also a manny pad with a little step up added. These obstacles have become the herpes of the spot, never going away, but throughout the years there have been many a less serious STD’s, (Skateually transmitted diseases) passing through the immune system of the flats. Countless kicker ramps, flat bars, boxes, Boudreau box, quarter pipes, outdoor gyms (yes an outdoor gym that doubled as the best manny pad the flats ever saw) and any garbage picked up along the way have littered the flats. It became the skate park before the skate park and even hosted its fair share of contests.

In 1995 the city built what was supposed to be the first stage in a skate park, the bowl. I didn’t live in Halifax at this point but I imagine this took some heat off the ol’ flats. But honestly right now as we speak the flats is located on the same grounds as a half a million dollar concrete skate park, but I still skate these 15+ year old concrete slabs and I’m certainly not the only one. I mean I do skate the new park, but my cup of cum is really the flats.

Before the new skate park was done the flats was basically all we had (besides street skating, but who has the ambition for that these days?) One day I remember fondly is showing up to the flats for an average sesh and seeing Arto, Creager, Kyle Leeper and Sheckler skating the flats. Yes “double pits to chesty” himself skating our lil spot. Seeing a dude like Ronnie Creager, skate a bench that me and some homies hack sawed the back off of (much to the disparagement of the Halifax regional police) was a treat indeed. I also have to give a big shout out to my homie Birdman, fly like a bird, Adam Burgess for sticking the metal edge on the concrete block with liquid nails. That thing has been standing strong for 6 or 7 years now.

Ok, so its not the Brooklyn Banks, and its never beget a boner from an out-of-towner so anxious to skate the spot he prematurely ejac’s in his Levi’s but it has seen its share of nbd’s, epic S.K.A.T.E games, beers, blunts, punks, fights, and anything else that comes from hanging out in the streets all day. As of late it’s even seen some hate from the city, that makes it a legit skate spot right? If the city starts to deconstruct it without thinking of what the space is mainly used for? Recently the city dug up some gravel on the other side of the blocks rendering them un-skateable. It’s not a huge set back though, once the spring hits we just need some strong arms to move the blocks back so we can once again do tricks over them. I’m thinking that the city planted those trees to make it difficult to see the cops. Once those bushes grow in we’ll have SWAT teams leaping though them and busting skateboarders for no helmets. That’s what I said, yes, no helmets. For some reason or another our fine city of Halifax is deeply concerned with our “safety” and cannot bear to look at us skateboarding sans helmet, without handing us a ticket. Be thankful your city has better things to do, wait, ours does too it would just rather deal with the skateboarders than the real criminals. Long live the Flats!!!!

Beginning for beginners

Skateboarding is hard. Well it's hard to be good at it. I know it's hard for you young upstarts out there to really grasp how to skateboard and how to fit in. Lucky you, I am not only awesome, amazing, and gnarly at skateboarding, I am also a really extra cool guy. Follow my easy steps and you will be awesome in no time.

1. FIND A SKATEBOARD
This is easy. Just bug the shit out of your parents for a skateboard. Explain it like this....."I need a skateboard to keep me out of trouble. If I'm skateboarding I will stay out of trouble and off drugs". Little do they know. If this is not an option for you, go to your local skate shop and ask them for old boards and parts. Every shop absolutely adores this.

2. LEARN HOW TO THROW YOUR BOARD
This is key. Most people may think that a staple of skateboarding is the ollie. Sure it is if you can manage to figure it out but boy are those first few months hard. You'll need a good way to exhibit your frustrations. (See Kerry Getz) As well as being a great outlet for anger it also gives the appearance that you may have been trying something really hard. It will also give your board some wear to show your parents how much you are using it. If you are a rich kid, focus* as many boards as possible.

3.FEAR EVERY LOCAL
Just to make them feel special. Don't get in anyone's way who looks to be older or better than you. If you do get in their way, apologize and go find them a beer. Until they stop referring to you as a lil shit then this is how it goes.

4. SHIT, DID YOU LEARN HOW TO OLLIE YET?
That's an important one.

5.TRY DRUGS
Might as well get this one out of the way early. Hopefully you don't like them.

6.TALK ABOUT TRICKS YOU USED TO HAVE
Plain and simple, after step 5 you won't be able to do most of the tricks you used to be able to do. If you meet a girl at a bar, tell her that you used to be sponsored, that always does the trick.

Well that just about covers it, I think. Stick to the plan.

*Focus- Pure destruction of your skateboard.

Danny Montoya Best of 411 Vol. 3

This video part holds a special spot in my heart. Back in my first year or so of skating Best of 411vm Vol. 3 was the one of about 3 videos that me and my skate rat friends could get our hands on. Needless to say I have seen this video probably upwards of 100 times, and this was one of my favorite parts to watch before I went out skating. GBoots told me he thinks I'm one of the only people he's met that list Danny Montoya as one of his favorite skaters, I got love for Danny though, whatev's.

Jay Mayne Hourglass review

So this is at least a few weeks late. But it's not just like I have been neglecting this post exclusively, I just straight up have not been posting shit up here. It hurts me to look at my blog, so bare and boring.

I have decided to give my first ever Nacho's Blog album review, or in this case mixtape review. What makes this one especially difficult is that I'm reviewing a friend of mine. Now if I was a professional journalist I would have left out the part about knowing him, but anyone who reads this will already know that. Let me set the stage here a little bit. Jermaine and I have known each other for some years now. We have skated and worked together and at many times been each others thorn in our respective sides. Mostly because we both think we are right about everything. I'm sure most people, Jay Mayne included would assume that I am just going to talk unwarranted shit. I assure you, if there is any talking of fecal matter, it is warranted.

This is Jay Mayne's newest offering of the musical kind. It is a mixtape over industry beats so right off the bat you know that you are getting recycled beats, which isn't always a bad thing. The subject matter for the most part deals with weed smoke, chasing money, trying to make it in the rap game, girls, and skateboarding, all of which make sense as this is Jay Mayne. I don't mean that this is what he talks about exclusively, he does put some other emotions into some tracks but for the most part these things are the back drop. One of my favorite tracks from this also happens to be the one that Jay Mayne decided to film a video for. Check out Mafia Music:

Hourglass is 30 tracks long, mostly short snippets and the running time is about 60 minutes. I'm going to try to be kind here and say that half of the mixtape is worth listening to. Well I should say the whole thing is worth listening to but after a few listens you may find yourself picking it through for the tracks that you are really feeling. I also think that hearing some of these tracks live could persuade most anybody, but Jay Mayne is mostly a weed smoking, studio hermit who doesn't care much for social interaction. I did enjoy it but what I'm really anxious to hear is a full length album with original beats. Bottom line here is that I'm rooting for you Jay Mayne, but this just isn't my favorite shit from you.

P.S.
I remember skating in Toronto a couple of summers ago, trying to film a line that's in the Homegrown video at a 3 up 3 down. I had one of Jay Mayne's mixtapes on the ipod and I kept hitting repeat on this one track, that I wish I could remember because it was banging, and it helped me get a clip.

Now the question I have been wondering about...Jay Mayne....are we still cool? ha

Uptown Tragedy and Beauties and Beasts

So I finally got my hands on a copy of Prevent this tragedy. It didn't come from the boys at Thrasher though. Chad Steeves, the local Converse rep, came through Uptown this past Wednesday to do a little screening of the video. He brought along a few extra copies of the DVD which were scooped up by anyone lucky enough. Chad also came equipped with a couple cases of Garrison Red and Amber which set a nice tone for the evening. Mark Regimbal of Shred-o-rama drunk bar singing fame was also in town doing DC stuff. He was at dinner with his parents earlier in the night and they so graciously gave him a bottle of Captain Morgan Private Stock. Fancy shit with a cork...no twist off here. He whined about the bottle breaking in his luggage so he just left it to the vultures. From what I hear that was the cause of a major puke fest at Nick's place. I am sure Jermaine was stoked to wake up to a living room filled with puke and skateboarders. Ahhh roomies.

As for the video...it was Hella!....Hella Sick...Hella gnarly!!! and Hella late!!!!!! But it was worth the wait. Well I did watch it a few times from some internet version but it just wasn't the same. Either way go sniff out a copy of your own wherever you can. If I do still end up getting my copy in the mail maybe we can have Nacho's blog's first ever contest? hmm....maybe.

Thanks to Proskates and Chad Steeves for hooking us up with a winter blues remedy. These cold ass months make for sparse social interactions. It was nice to see everyone. Oh we also watched Beauty and the Beast part 2 which is worth a look see as well. It's good to have these little premieres here, because no one seems to be putting out local videos anymore (Plumber). Anyways....fun night, good peeps...wicked accordion tunes. Hope to do it again soon.

Hanging out at Proskates has meaning again!

Let me start this off by saying that winter is an awful, awful time. There has been zero skateboarding in my life in last 2 months. The holiday cheer has long since worn away and I am ready for the spring thaw. Since it is such a lousy time for skateboarding this equals minimal blog material.

That said, I am happy to report this news to you. The Proskates Foosball table is back downtown. It was hidden at Uptown for too long. Proskates lurking finally has meaning again! Well that is if you feel that spinning knobs with plastic, armless men and whacking a ball are meaningful, and you know you do.

Here Jermaine and Zach demonstrate years of retail foosball experience. The main rule would be that the ball comes off the table when customers come in. That means real, paying, respectable customers and not the skate vermin who frequent the shop.

Playing Jermaine can be frustrating. He will probably win and he will probably make you feel like an idiot each time he scores on you with a smart ass look like this one above.

Zach has been known to get a little too excited during games and will often have bowel movements several times during a match. It is much harder to pick up feces off the floor when a customer enters the store than it is to pick up the ball off the table.

Ok so I don't recommend beating the shit out of your skateboard either, especially at skate parks. It makes you look like a big douche bag and then nobody wants to hang out with you. Above is the restaurant that I started working at last month. The apartment building connected to it caught fire around 8am yesterday (12th). From what I know it seems to have been an electrical fire started in one of the apartments. Taj Mahal Indian restaurant (my employer) did not get the worst of it but there is definitely smoke and water damage that will shut the restaurant down for an unknown amount of time. All the windows in the front of the restaurant were smashed out to ventilate it as it was filled with smoke.

I would have to say it is not the best news to wake up to. Learning that your place of employment is on fire and is closed sucks. Being unemployed sucks. I don't know all the details yet but I would assume that as of right now, I am unemployed. Ok so like I said, |it could be worse. People did lose their homes and possessions. No one was hurt thankfully. The Westin hotel offered people a place to stay and some food to eat.

After emailing everyone I could find listed on the Thrasher site I got a timely response to my inquiry as to why I was not holding a copy of "Prevent this Tragedy" on DVD. Eben Sterling responded to my email and informed me that it was all Converse's fault. They (Converse) only wanted to do local (US) distribution of the video. Eben seems like a stand up fellow though and asked me what my mailing address was so that he could mail me one out. Stoked brah! So in a couple weeks I imagine I will have a DVD copy of a video I have already watched 10 times online.

The above is what I had expected to see today when I went to pick up my copy of the new Thrasher. I have been looking forward to watching the new video offering "Prevent this tragedy" for some time now. I checked in at the Atlantic News on Queen St. yesterday and they informed me that the February issue would hit the stands tomorrow (today). The clerk even offered to put one behind the counter for me and call me when it went out. I got the call today and happily walked up to the magazine store only to find that my magazine did not have a bag. An odd start to my magazine, maybe it was just my copy? No, it turns out that all the stores copies were sans DVD, as were all the other magazine stands I checked. Soooo.....What the fuck right? Have I been discriminated against because I get free health care? I thought yesterday's loss to the US of A in the world juniors was enough of a kick in the pants from America, now they deprive me of the new Thrasher video too?

Ok, So I'm not 100% positive that Americans did this to me, but I want some answers! I tried to call Jake Phelps today but got through to some voice mail that I doubt was checked by the Phelper. I then emailed every contact email on the Thrasher site. All I want is my DVD. Is that so wrong? I'm sure there are many more pissed off Canucks out there too. I hope everyone in America is enjoying their copy of "Prevent this tragedy" .

Homegrown skateboards is about 13 years running now and they are Real East. Skateboards that are literally born on the waters of the Lahave river. Hopefully the website will give you the goods on what it is to skate a Homegrown board. He is a photographer for Staple mag down under and is worth a peak or two. And the second is a photographer by the name of Steve Gourlay. The site is really nice and has plenty of photos of your all your fav's and maybe a few you've yet to favor. The new year is almost upon us and that means New Years eve celebrations. I was lurking the Studio Skateboards site and was stoked to find this footage of Andrew McGraw from back in his Boston days at the age of 16. I've played Andrew maybe 1000 times in s.k.a.t.e and I won once, and I'm pretty sure he was wearing dress shoes so I'm not even going to really claim that I have ever fairly beat him. I have come close a lot though, and the one trick that I could always run on him was the switch hardflip. He would always say he used to be able to do them "back in the day". I guess he wasn't frontin' because he does it down like a 10 stair at the end of this video.

Also note the clip at about :30 where he backside 5-0s a ledge but then must take his shirt off and hold it to nose grind it? I know you were 16 so we'll let it slide. haha

I don't know why I bother watching skate videos anymore. All it does is get me all hot and bothered and then ultimately disappointed. It has been freezing in Halifax the last few days, wind chill out the ass, yet for some reason I still got my hopes up last night while watching a few new videos. You see I put them on just to pass the time and then end up getting stoked to skate. While in my warm apartment looking at my TV it's easy to trick yourself sometimes. I was watching and thinking, "I'm going to check the weather network after this." Naively thinking that Mother Nature would give me a sunny, above zero, windless day to skate one more time. Well no, instead Mother Nature gave me the usual "Fuck right off!" that you usually get in almost mid December. So instead of working on my flip tricks, I'm writing this junk. Far less satisfying. I am thankful for the mini ramp sessions I have been invited to since the cold hit, but it's just not the same as a nice strip of flatground and a box.

When I was a kid it was not unlikely to just put on 3 sweaters and skate the salt infested streets of St.John's. Something tells me that this would grow old really quickly nowadays. Shinners below zero are enough to make a grown man cry. I guess if you were really committed you could do like these folks below.

Not sure how much these Blinx LED lights helped but maybe they give off enough heat to melt all the snow in your path?

Well I guess it's just safe to say that it will be a few months before we can really enjoy ourselves skateboarding again. Until then maybe we can snow skate? Gonna be a long winter.

The weather has taken a bit of a turn here like it does most December's, so the amount of skating done has now dwindled to a few sparse mini ramp sessions. So surfing the interweb of skateboarding has become my fix. Today I stumbled upon this profile of Ballistic skate and snow on the Supra Distribution site. Ballistic was my first real skate shop and has been doing it for the Newfies for some years now. I would go in there as a little shit and just be amazed. I then moved to Halifax and went from being amazed of my first skate shop (Ballistic) to terrified of my new shop (Proskates). Anyways, they talk to Kurk Brown, longtime St. John's ripper and all around gambling addict. KMoney!!

Well now that we are clear on what narcissism is, it's safe to say that Jereme Rogers is narcissistic, delusional and overall completely out of his mind. If you were able to make it through the over six minutes of drivel in "Jereme's Goodbye to skateboarding", hell if you made it through the first 30 seconds of the thing you know that he's actually fuckin' nuts now, to the point that if you were a family member or friend of Jereme's you would have to, by definition of what a friend is, step the fuck in and say "Duuuuuddddeeee".

I mean really, lets take it a step further here and just say that it's not even Jereme's fault. Someone has to be fueling him. The sad truth of it is that Jereme does have a lot of money and can probably find enough people to surround himself with that will tell him to "Fuck the haters" and "Do your thing". That old adage that we can all be whatever we want when we grow up....it's bullshit. No really, within reason, we can do a lot of things. If I was really dedicated to being a paramedic and trained hard, studied enough, I could probably get there. But rapping is a whole different story. Jereme, YOU ARE NOT A RAPPER. If you want to do this for fun, then fine, so be it. But to say that you are done with skateboarding to get your "Second crown" in rapping, is straight up delusional.

And why do you think "God" has your back so much? If there was such a thing as a "God" why would he be so down for Jereme that he gives him the great gift of skateboarding, and then says, "You know, that Jereme Rogers kid really needs another gift, I now anoint you a Rap Star!!!!" Everything about that song is terrible, the rapping, the words, the beat, the video, so obviously "God" did not hook you up this time.

I mean look at Terry Kennedy, he's a good skater (maybe he's not your favorite) and he's not terrible at rapping. He uses beats that you at least want to hear. Actually here, listen to this.......

Guaranteed after listening to those songs back to back, you would be bumping Terry over JROG. I'm not even going to lie, I do enjoy that Super Star joint, it went well with his part in Baker 3. My point is Terry needs to come to him and be like "My dude, this is not for you." Even when Terry got into rapping he didn't abandon skateboarding, he used it as a launching pad, skate kids love that Terry rap because they see him "Skate" to it. His profile on the Baker site lists rapping in his hobbies, now maybe he would argue that it's more than a hobby but my point is that as far as skateboard rappers, I'm taking Terry over Jereme, any day, all day. Even if Terry's latest ad in the January Thrasher looks more like an ad for an action figure than a skate brand.

Skateboarding is fucking awesome. Plain and simple. It brings people together, its almost cliche to say but you can go almost anywhere in the world with your skateboard and meet up with new homies. Two years ago I went to New York and met up with Ben McLachlan at Tompkins square park, played a few games of skate and hit up Flushing meadows the next day. Ben's an Aussie (Perth) who was doing some world travelling. We ended up exchanging a few emails and he actually sent me a dvd of his video. (The name of which has slipped my mind at this moment.)
Anyway since I'm all about the blogging these days I figured I would shoot Ben an email to see if he had any content I could leach from him. Turns out him and some homies have started a board brand called The 4 skateboard company. They definitely have some talent on their team, and as it would seem some sort of affiliation with Nike SB as 5 of 7 riders skate for them and the other two guys rep Vans. You may recognize Morgan Campbell from his days on Premium. Here are some clips of the riders.

I dropped my fucking iphone yesterday. It seems to have broken the lcd, its not cracked, it just displays a white screen with gray lines that shout "Fuck you asshole, try to take me out while crossing the street again!".

Anyways, it forced me to switch over to my old Blackberry for the time being. On that blackberry I found some pics I took a while back, including this one. It seems the church up the street from me has incorporated new methods to attract parishioners, particularly ravers. They now give out glow bracelets and use only black lights. People dance in an unsavoury manner and tell you how much they love you.

I always seem to get everything late but I do think this is the latest issue of Expose mag. In case you are not familiar, this mag is almost entirely in gibberish. I could only find 2 articles written in english. The rest looks as though someone at the Expose office sat on the fucking keyboard. I mean seriously what is this? Bastien Salabanzi even does a full on interview in this gobbledegook. Does he speak ass keyboard too? Fuck me.

Anyway, I did find an ENGLISH interview with Labrona in here. He is a Montreal based graffiti artist who has been working with Nova Scotia's own board builders, Homegrown Skateboards. Skateboard art!! You might as well get your mother a Homegrown board for xmas to hang in her kitchen because those old poker playing dogs are tired, they have been waiting to play the same damn hand of cards since you were 7. Uptown Hipster Biking to nowhere

Oh sometimes I like to bike.....sometimes I like to bike...to nowhere. I first started biking to nowhere after the time I biked really, really far and was too tired to come home. I camped out behind a K.O.D ( a King of Donair pizza shop for all my non-Nova Scotians....I must be reaching the masses now.) and survived on donair shavings and pizza crust. Anyways, after that I now only bike to nowhere.

This is just the start of my journey to nowhere, so I'm not going nowhere fast yet.

Things are heating up here. Nowhere is just the best place to go EVER!!!!!

At this point I am FUCKING FLYING to nowhere!!!!!!!

The best part about biking to nowhere at Proskates Uptown is that since you go literally nowhere, you are very close to the fridge. No camping behind the K.O.D for me....there are plenty of donair scraps and pizza crust in the Uptown fridge to survive on.

So when I first posted this video on Friday it was merely because it was funny, and the announcer called the guy a BMX'er. Then I learn that that "BMX'er" is actually pro skateboarder Mike Vallely! haha oh my. Hockey fights, I should have known. Apparently he had some sort of sponsorship deal with the Ducks that is no more after his poor decision to drop the gloves in the stands. I will give him a break here as I understand he was defending his daughter. But maybe next time you can just politely take the stick back?

Cool to see P-Rod donated his 2nd place winnings of 5 G's to Nick Mullin's. I'm sure it didn't bother his bank account. And when you have praying hands tatted on you, you need to do lots of good deeds to make sure the man upstairs lets you through his gates. Or maybe he was just trying to make Cole look like a dick for not giving up his 10 G's? Maybe Cole will be donating his winnings to 2 skate shops to pay for their Berrics unified ad space? Who knows.

I come to you today with a confession of sorts, something I need to get off my chest. I have come to terms with this issue myself but have yet to share it with all the world. I need to tell you, I think my ears are gay. Not me as a whole, I love the broads but my ears may be as gay as a male cheerleader.

You see, over the past couple of years I have really seen some lax ruling on who makes it onto my Ipod's guestlist. It is now one of those Ipod's you will put on at a party but will not leave unattended because of the fear of something totally embarrassing coming on. Once every one is drunk it usually all goes to hell anyway and I'm the guy who got the party started but in the light of the day I am once again back in hiding. Hide no more I say.

I realized after reading Scotford Van CooCooCaaCaaa's note about Owen W being a huge Avril Lavigne fan, that I am actually the huge pussy. Owen parades around in his Avril t-shirts, with his car stocked with Avril cd's, basically living the dream, while I don't even own one Britney Spears t-shirt. One thing where we differ though is that I can't say I am a big Avril fan but I can vouch for Britney, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

One place where I would like to think we are the same though is that throughout this infatuation with seemingly gay music, I have not totally sold myself out. I still keep enough Wu-Tang, bootcamp clik and Slayer on there to more than balance it out. But this also brings upon another fear of mine. Picture this. I am walking down the street in sayyyyy.... New York, just banging the new Brit joint when BANG! I run into Ghost Deini himself, Tony Starks, the Ghostface Killah! He strikes up a conversation with me (obviously) about what I've been listening to. I'm all "Ugh, ahh, umm, ergh......" BANG again! I'm busted. Ghostface just caught me listening to Britney fucking Spears. All I can do is stutter and fluster some sentences together about how she means nothing to me and I have Ironman and Bulletproof wallets coming up next, but its too late, Ghost is off in his wally's, laughing a lil, but mostly just dissapointed in me.

There it is folks. I feel naked and dirty but its out there. If you remove me from your contacts I guess I will understand but just know that I am not the only one out there. Many of us will come forward in the coming years, I feel it. You will be shocked at who will step out of the musical closet, but just remember Nacho was the first, He stood up with pride and shouted it with glee! I'm Gay! (musically) That's my word.

This is Greg and his face tats. Ok so they aren't actually tatted on his face but Clancy and Regimbal follow him around daily with their smelly poo fingers all up in his face, so essentially they are his face tats, minus the pain and committment. One says Kill cops. I wonder if in this post, if I say Kill cops a few times, will this blog pop up in google when you search Kill Cops? I know you google kill cops at least once per day. I don't though, In case any cops are reading this. These aren't my tattoos, they are Greg's.

Clancy doesn't just tattoo any old thing on his man canvas.

This tattoo is particularly meaningful to Clancy. He once fought in the great battle of the Ales. A lot of ugly things happened in those days and he would rather not get into the nitty gritty. Let's just say he saw a lot of good beers go to waste in the prime of their lives. Just live by his words and let no beer go to waste. Think always of Clancy's sacrifice and leave NO BEER BEHIND!!!!

I just happened to have the Seattle news on and I saw a heartwarming story about a little girl named Ashley who is involved in raising money for children with cancer. I thought that sounded like a fine idea. Then the story ends with the news that an attempt to break the world record for eating bacon is how they intend to raise money. I`m no doctor but haven`t many studies shown that red meat is linked to cancer? So lets try to eat the most pig strips in the world, ever, in an attempt to raise money and bring awareness to cancer? Here is a link to Erik "The Red" Denmark`s blogger. He is a competitive eater, a gastroathelete or in this case a "Bacathelete". This poster says it all. Call me a pussy but isn`t this just a bit fucked up? C`mon no, its really fucked up. Here`s one of probably 100`s of articles found linking cancer to red meat. I've had a few attempts at keeping up a blog in the past. The keeping up is the part where I have ran into problems. Either way, here we go again with my latest attempt, Nacho's blog. (Clever I know.) This blog will likely focus on, but not limited to, skateboarding. It's what I know and love. The above image is an attempt to make it look like I have large nipples by leaving just a circular amount of hair around the nipple. I only did it to one nipple. It's not like I want or aspire to have large nipples I just wanted to see what it might look like. Hairy nipples are gross. Don't do this.
